Stories Without Borders: Expanding Access to Reading Across the Migration Trail

Rise Up & Read / Leer Para Crecer is growing its Stories Without Borders virtual library, bringing the power of storytelling to children on the migration trail through a partnership with Telecoms Sans Frontières. Across Colombia, Guatemala, and Mexico, 25 screens in migrant centers are now lighting up shared spaces with stories—transforming them into places of learning, imagination, and belonging.

So far, this initiative has reached more than 2,000 migrants and inspired over 82,000 minutes of reading, storytelling, and connection. As the program continues to expand, more children will gain access to stories in multiple languages—because every child deserves to be seen, heard, and to read.
