Every child deserves a story.
Dear friends,
2025 has been an especially difficult year for migrant children traveling through Latin America. Millions remain displaced, many for the entirety of their childhoods, facing constant stress, insecurity, and uncertainty about what lies ahead.
In Mexico, conditions shift week by week. Some families find space in migrant centers, others live in tent encampments with few resources. Earlier in the year, many families came from Haiti; now about half are from Venezuela, reflecting the ongoing instability across the region.
Amid these challenges, RUaR continues to bring books to children through new libraries, pop-up reading corners, and our virtual library in migrant centers. These small moments of reading offer something priceless: joy, hope, and a glimpse of normal childhood in otherwise difficult circumstances.
